Zachary Tlumak, O.D.

Dr. Zachary Tlumak is an optometrist at Jahnle Eye Associates, where he sees patients at the Havertown and Media offices. Throughout his education and career, he has worked across a wide range of settings — including hospital-based care, commercial and private practice, community health centers, and homeless shelters — giving him broad experience with patients from all walks of life.

Education and training

Dr. Tlumak graduated from the University of Michigan in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a minor in Music. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where he served as Vice President of the Class of 2019 and won his class’s Clinical Excellence Award.

He went on to complete a residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Haven, Connecticut, with a focus on ocular disease, low vision rehabilitation, and acquired brain injury.
