Dr. Melvin I. Roat is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a sub-specialty in the cornea. After many years running his own practice — next door to Jahnle Eye Associates at Riddle Hospital — he joined the practice in 2024. He evaluates and treats patients with dry eye, allergies, glaucoma, diabetes, and age-related eye diseases, and he is known for taking the time to make sure each patient fully understands their eye condition through clear, straightforward explanations. He has been named a Main Line Today magazine “Top Doc” five times.
