Let me start off by saying, In 2020 I had my first eye appointment with Dr. Edward Mekel who was amazing and professional but I had my check up appointment on (8/15/2024) and Dr. Edward Mekel wasn’t working at that time so I basically had to choose another Dr because that was the only day it worked for my schedule. So I chose Dr. Erika Saucedo, and from the start of the appointment all the way to the end of the appointment I felt like I was being completely rushed by Dr. Saucedo. So I let the nurse know of any questions I may have or concerns to put into the system on the computer. When Dr. Saucedo did all my routine exam test’s she stated that she would like to update my prescription for my far Distance. But the problem I have is that I never had a problem with seeing things up close. But Dr. Saucedo also raised my close Vision to a prescription of (1.25). How is that I will feel like a blind bat at that rate, I don’t think Dr. Saucedo Knew what she was doing so now I feel like I wasted my time at this appointment for nothing. So now I will be going to another optometrist to get another full eye exam for a second opinion. I believe that the prescription she gave me is incorrect completely. Thank god my insurance covered this whole appointment and I didn’t have to pay anything. The second problem I had was that I was automatically scheduled a 30 minute window to go out and shop glasses frames and prescription. I felt as to if they were rushing me to buy my new prescription glasses from the Jahnle riddle eye associates. I didn’t give consent prior to scheduling my appointment that I wanted to spend time shopping frames. All I did was come to my appointment to get my routine eye exam. This practice is surely not the same as what it was back in 2020 when I saw Dr. Edward Mekel. It totally went down the drain for the worst.

Very prompt and answers any questions in language a layman can understand. Very thorough in examination.
