We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our care team: Dr. Kelly Moritz, O.D., an optometrist now seeing patients at our Havertown and Media offices. Dr. Moritz brings nearly a decade of experience caring for patients across the Philadelphia region, and she’s a welcome addition to the optometric side of our practice.

A Pennsylvania path to optometry
Dr. Moritz grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and her route into eye care started a little differently than most. Before optometry, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health at Penn State — a background in how behavior and biology intersect that continues to inform the way she connects with patients today. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry and a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park.
Her training took her well beyond Pennsylvania. She completed clinical rotations at the Eye Centers of South Florida, the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina, a private practice in Wilmington, North Carolina, and the Penn State Hershey Eye Center. That range — from VA hospital care to private practice — gave her experience with a broad mix of patients and eye conditions.
What Dr. Moritz focuses on
Dr. Moritz practices full-scope optometry, which means she’s your first stop for everyday eye health. Patients see her for:
- Comprehensive eye exams for adults and children
- Contact lens fittings, including specialty and harder-to-fit cases
- Myopia management to help slow the progression of nearsightedness in kids
- Pediatric and geriatric eye care
- Detection and management of eye disease
- Urgent and emergency eye concerns
Care that connects to everything else under one roof
One of the advantages of joining Jahnle Eye Associates is the team around her. As an optometrist in a practice led by board-certified ophthalmologists, Dr. Moritz can guide patients seamlessly from a routine exam into advanced medical or surgical care when it’s needed — without sending them across town to a different office. For patients, that means continuity: the same trusted practice from your annual exam through more complex treatment.
A little about life outside the office
Dr. Moritz lives in Bryn Mawr with her husband and daughter. Learn more about Dr. Kelly Moritz and the rest of our care team.
